Being a 'Silly Billy!'

I love how silly our kids are.  I also love it when I get pictures of them being silly...
Being a Mommy of four children, very close in age, I have learned that you have to have some order/structure in your home or you will go crazy.  I am far from being the most organized person and my house is very messy many times a week but I do try very hard to make sure my house doesn't get too crazy or messy.  I have learned that it is much easier to keep things picked up and to keep up with your home then to get it organized after 'letting it go' for weeks/months.
I have learned that while being organized and getting things done you can have fun while doing it.  We love to sing and dance in our home while we are cleaning.  Sometimes we make funny faces as we pass each other in the hall just to make each other laugh.  We have been known to make a line and dance on our way to the table before we could eat a meal together. ;)  My children laugh at me several times a day and I love it.  I want our children to learn to be responsible, respectful, and I want them to take care of their own homes some day but I want them to also learn that it can be fun.  I want them to have funny memories of their mom that they can cherish forever (even if I do look silly.)  I love singing at the top of my lungs to praise songs, even if I do sound horrible, they will always remember that you don't have to sound great to praise the Lord, and that praising the Lord can be fun.  I don't want my children to remember me always complaining about chores or things that I 'have' to get done, don't get me wrong, I do my share of complaining, but I don't want that to be what they remember so I want to make sure having fun, singing, dancing, and being thankful I have laundry, dishes, and a home to clean happens way more often then me complaining about those things.  My children are 'Silly Billy's' and I LOVE that about them.
I am so excited about my children growing up and knowing that it is ok to be silly, that they don't need to be 'too cool' to have fun, laugh, and be a goof with their mommy.  I want my kids to always feel comfortable with me.  I don't want to be just the mom that gives them rules, that teaches them right from wrong, and that makes them clean.  Don't get me wrong, you need to do those things, we do plenty in this house but we have learned that you can do those things and enjoy them at the same time.  Life is filled with so much more joy when you laugh and enjoy the things you do together.
I am so blessed to be able to spend all day, everyday with my sweet kids.  I get to teach them, guide them, and protect them from this world and we get to enjoy life together.
I am a 'Silly Billy' Mommy!
